Now that we’ve officially fallen into fall, the Philly music scene is just bursting at the seams with things to do and artists to hear. With so much music to choose from, it can be a bit overwhelming to navigate the endless sea of music events on your own. Mural Arts Open Source Block Party

This Saturday, fill your afternoon with visual art, delicious food, and live music for the Mural Arts Open Source Block Party in North Philadelphia, which will celebrate the Latino and African communities present there. Live music artists include Calma Carmona from Puerto Rico as well as Dende & Band and DJ Rahsaan. This event is free to attend.


Forbes Under 30 Concert at Festival Pier

The second annual Forbes Under 30 Summit will take place in Philadelphia and with it comes the Forbes Under 30 Concert, presented in conjunction with Global Citizen. Hanson, Lindsay Stirling, Shawn Mendes, and Fetty Wap are set to perform, united by a mission to end extreme poverty. 8,000 tickets are being given away for this event to Philly residents that register with Global Citizen to take action. Halsey at Union Transfer

The reigning queen of indie pop, Halsey, is coming to Union Transfer this month in support of her latest release, Badlands. Having been the most-tweeted-about artist at SXSW last year, she’s been on a rocket ship to the top ever since. For this show, she will be joined by Los Angeles based band, FLOR. Battle of the College Bands at Hard Rock Cafe

Local music blog, Rock On Philly, is searching for Philly’s Best College band this month for the first edition of their Battle of the College Bands series. Participating bands include Andorra, The Escape, INDIGOLD, and Distressor. The winning band will receive a grand prize package with career enhancing tools like studio time, music consulting sessions, and more. Tickets are available here.


TJ Kong Costume Ball Murder Show VI at Underground Arts

If you’re looking for a Halloween night that’s jam-packed with awesome music, look no further than the sixth annual TJ Kong Costume Ball Murder Show at Underground Arts.
