Last week, Philly Fashion Week took over the City of Brotherly Love. Going on its tenth year, the week of events created by Kevin Parker and Kerry Scott seems to be bigger and better each season.
Didn’t make it? Get caught up here. Philadelphia tastemakers were in attendance and sharing the excitement on social media. Here are some highlights you may have missed, captured by local movers and shakers.
SugarHouse Casino Kickoff Party
Food, drinks, fashion, entertainment, and even a sneak peek at the casino’s new renovations kicked off Philly Fashion Week. Local hip-hop artist Chops performed while Lillies, a fashion collection by Latasha Hall, presented their sophisticated styles.

Fashion Show at Geno’s
Talk about an event in true Philly fashion. Models strutted their stuff outside of one of the most notorious cheesesteak places in the city. Guests scored seats by purchasing the famous Philadelphia food. Some of the models may look very familiar. Power 99’s Mina SayWhat and Alex Holley of Good Day Philadelphia rocked the runway.

Fern Mallis at Macy’s The woman often credited as the creator of New York Fashion Week took over Macy’s Center City. Yes, Fern Mallis was in the building (and at some of the shows) being honored for her work. This special meet-and-greet snagged shoppers spending $30 or more a free copy of her book. Plus, they got to be graced by her presence and get their new book signed by the author herself.

Couture Fashion Finale
The final fashion show highlighted couture fashions from around the world including one of Philly’s own, who also happens to be a huge deal everywhere else, Autumn Lin. The designer behind the label, Autumnlin Kietponglert is known for her unique zipper work and her rockstar designs. Sound familiar? She was one of the top-three finalists on Bravo’s Styled to Rock, hand-picked by Rihanna.
